Bend the Lines

Originally posted to RohJuh.com on Jun 10, 2006. I was surfing around on YouTube, the king of time-wasting sites, and found this great song ( Bend The Lines ). Not only do I find it catchy, but I really like the lyrics too. For you acoustic guitar types, this is a really easy song to play. The chords are just G, C, and D, standard tuning. I prefer playing with a capo on the 1st fret, probably, you know, because of my booming bass voice ;-) . However, if you want to play with the YouTube video, you’ll need to put the capo on the 2nd fret. Judy’s probably sick of hearing this song since I’ve been singing/playing it over and over again. Anyhow, here are the lyrics I wrote down. I hope you like the song as much as I do! Santa Barbara

Originally posted to RohJuh.com on Jun 4, 2006. Ruben, Judy’s friend from college, and Kim tied the knot this weekend so we headed down to Santa Barbara for the wedding. The Ocean’s 11 guidebook, which Judy had bought for our previous trips to Pine Mountain, describes lots of good bouldering in the near vicinity so we decided to try to squeeze some climbing in the day after the wedding. Here are the pics from the wedding as well as a few bouldering shots. Unfortunately, we wasted a bunch of time bush-whacking down the wrong trail in search of the boulders on Sunday, and since we had to make dinner (back in Nor Cal) with Judy’s family, we didn’t get to boulder very long. It was just as well though since it was really hot that day. We did find lots of good boulders though so we’re definitely planning on heading back sometime later this year.

Squirrel Watching

Latte shows that this can be quite an engaging and stimulating pastime, especially if the squirrel stares back at you. Pics here .
