2016 Commencal Meta V4!

Commencal's US headquarters is in Carlsbad, CA so instead of having them ship the bike to me, I decided to drive down, pick the bike up, and visit family and friends while in San Diego. I had them assemble the bike and also do the tubeless conversion. The bike is much different from my old bike. It looks and feels a lot bigger, not only because of the 27.5 wheels, but also because of its modern geometry which gives it a slacker head angle and longer wheelbase. It took a bit of getting used to, but I love it so far, especially the dropper post. Mad MAD love for the dropper - those things are awesome! My first ride was at Saratoga Gap which is only moderately challenging. The next day I took it on the more technical Braille Trail and it handled everything with aplomb. The 1X drivetrain proved plenty good for the climbs - any concerns I might have had about going with a 1X drivetrain...
